Close Up Pics of the Los Angeles Street Art District

Here is a pic heavy segment with some close up pics of the new Street Art District sign.  In these shots you can see the detail in the sign like where Teacher and Toolz discretely added their names.

Awesome stuff and something that every artist and art lover in LA can celebrate.

Stay up!  Los Angeles~

Snapped this shot of a new Bankrupt Slut Dunny in front of the beautiful graff mural on Fairfax by the all-stars.

Retna, Rime, Revok, Norm, Os Gemeos, Saber--A Closer Look

MelroseandFairfax first posted this wall back when the paint was still wet.

We were impressed with this wall even before we knew it was done by world famous graffiti artists.

Here's a closer look at the pieces.

Cadillac Stretch and Mike Vegas Photoshoot

MelroseandFairfax came up on this photoshoot.

Cadillac Strech and Mike Vegas were striking the pose on Melrose, shooting for their respective upcoming releases.

Qtip the Graffiti Cat--Video

MelroseandFairfax has received a lot of interest asking about the cat who appears in a lot of the photos.

The cat is Qtip and she has her own Youtube channel for cat lovers showing her romping around Los Angeles on a leash.

Due to popular demand, we finally made a video incorporating street art shots into the action.

You can CHECK THE VIDEO OUT HERE

Stencil Evidence

Found all this stencil equipment in the alley behind Melrose.

Think its for business purposes and not a street artists.

Bankrupt Slut Dunny #10

Spotted a fresh new Dunny from Bankrupt Slut.

On Melrose.

Also featuring stickers from Savage, 2much, Inept, Mostart, and more

LA is the Best Fucking City. Period.

MelroseandFairfax has been around the globe.

Have traveled through 46 states.

We thought that Florida housed the best place to live--until we moved to LA.

Los Angeles is the place where dreams are made. The place to go big. The place to make a name.

The combination of climate, mountains, beaches, street art and stardom make LA, at least in the eyes of MelroseandFairfax, the best city, anywhere. Period.

We shot these shots of the Hollywood skyline while flying in from a recent jaunt out to the East Coast (its good to be back home).

Love Me--De La Barracuda

The De La Barracuda wall is arguably one of LA's most active and entertaining canvases.

Although it now hosts a Shepard Fairey installation and Rebel 8 and Shark Toof posters, discovered these pictures going over some old files and had to post it.

Really love this pic. The Love Me is juicy. The Skullphone pastes up top are peeling beautifully. And the Insa piece to the side is one of our favorite walls on Melrose.

Barkin' Bitches

Oh. my. Gawd.

How cute is that puppy?

Barkin' Bitches is a great dog store on Fairfax next door to Flight Club.

They always have 10 or so of the cutest little dogs up for running around the store. The dogs are up for adoption, and MelroseandFairfax wants to take them all home.

Prefab 77 in Los Angeles

British art collective, Prefab 77 rolled through Fairfax and left some art.
