A Closer Look at Banksy's Robosapien
^ The NYPD already loves Banksy's newest stencil!
Here is a closer look at BanksyNY's 'Robosapien'. Banksy is always hitting on many levels, and turns out that the bar code that the robot is spraying is actually a catalog number for homo sapiens.
Click the jump for a closer look at Banksy's Robosapien.

BanksyNY Confirmed - This Site Contains Blocked Messages
Its been confirmed that the 'This Site Contains Blocked Messages' is from BanksyNY.
Dig how this piece hits on many levels. On the surface, Banksy's letters have been painted over a buffed wall, so the graffiti messages have been blocked. And on another level, its kind of like how the Mona Lisa is always looking at you. And whenever this image gets posted on the internet, it will be like the image is referring to the internet site, not the wall itself.

Banksy's Geisha - Street Museum
Banksy's Geisha has turned into a street museum. Complete with visiting hours, gates, guards and all the fun you might find at a real museum. But you might get mugged at this one~
Lol, out of all the ways that Banksy's pieces have been handled on the streets, what is the right way? M&F does not know. In an ideal world, it would be great if Banksy's art just lasted indefinitely on the streets. But all of these other options--tagging, metal gates, or the auction house just don't seem to do the art justice.
GA One probably left that tag above because he tried to visit Banksy's piece, but was pissed cause he couldn't see it cause it wasn't during visiting hours~ (that is a joke if sarcasm is not clear over the internet)

Plastic Jesus - Why Can't a Wall Just Be a Wall?
Plastic Jesus interacts with this building in Los Angeles.
The 'Advertise Here' stencil was already there. Then Plastic Jesus came along with another stencil that seems to taunt the wall. It asks, 'Why can't a wall just be a wall?'.
Indeed. Why can't a wall just be a wall? (With street art on it?)

Banksy's Waiting in Vain - Instant Classic
Banksy's Waiting in Vain is an instant classic. Powerful image. Great execution. Perfect location. This has all the elements of an instant classic.
As M&F has pointed out before, there are all types of Banksy fans, and for the ones who just love the 'feel good' art, this will be a hit. This is an instant classic. Like Banksy's Balloon Girl, or his Flower Bomber. Expect to see this image on many tattoos, soon.
As for the location itself, it seems highly unlikely that Banksy could have executed this piece illegally. It is at a very high traffic area in the city that never sleeps, and the Hustler Strip Club where it was placed did not close until 4 in the morning. And after a strip club closes, then cleaners come to clean up before opening. (M&F knows this b/c we also live around the corner from a strip club). Finally, there are always security guards around strip clubs, and this one looks like it would have more than a few. In fact, there are already security guards protecting Banksy's piece. Not to mention security cameras. Basically, it seems highly unlikely that Banksy painted this piece illegally.
Will the fans care? No. Probably not. The fans who would care about this already have 'Ghetto 4 Life'. The fans who love this are the ones who will have this as the screen saver on their iPhones.
Click the jump to check out more pics. It will be interesting to see how long this lasts, before the shutter is taken?
Banksy's Back! - Waiting in Vain
After a day off the street due to police activity, Banksy is back!
His newest piece is entitled 'Waiting in Vain'. With superb placement on the shutter gates outside of the Hustler Strip Club in New York.
This is sure to be a favorite, both in terms of its location and the content of the man holding flowers itself.
Dig it~

Teacher - Spreadin' the Love
Teacher is spreadin' his message of love all over. With a fresh new giant stencil piece in Norther California saying 'All You Need Is the Right Kind of Love'.
Teacher is like LA's Banksy, and one of the few street artists around cutting floating stencils like this one.
Stay up and keep teachin' love!~

From the Crib to the Grave - Banksy iz Ghetto 4 Life!
^Haha, this baby is off to a good start. Guess this is what it takes for a child in a crib to start tagging by 10. Call it early education~
Folks have already found Banksy's Ghetto 4 Life in the Bronx. By the time it was located by the Banksy fans, this one had already been noticed by the local graffiti writers. This hit from Skeew is one of the first real graffiti tags to go over a Banksy piece. Notice how it does not cap it, just gets up next to it? At the heart, that is what graffiti is about. Not mindless vandalism and hate. Graffiti is about getting up. . . . . and Staying Up!~
This piece is probably too big to be easily covered, so it will be interesting to see how the life span of this wall piece plays out.
You know what would be really funny? If the thug crew who started charging people money to take pictures of Banksy's Beaver in East New York took over this spot.
Stay up, and stay ghetto for life!

Banksy on Broadway - Closer Look Hammer Boy
Banksy's newest piece, 'Hammer Boy', got located and found immediately. Its on Broadway. And the red hydrant part of the piece has already filled up with postal stickers from local artists.
Another instant favorite amongst Banksy lovers. However, this piece will definitely have Banksy fanatics muttering about problems with the feet.

Banksy Sets Off the Fire Alarm!
Today, Banksy sets off the fire alarm with this Carnival themed piece of a boy swinging a sledgehammer at a fire hydrant connected to an alarm up top.
Another piece with good use of the environment from Banksy in New York.

BanksyNY's Twin Towers Overlooking Manhattan Skyline
Banksy placed this second stencil of New York's Twin Towers at this location because this is where the Towers would have been seen above the Manhattan skyline.
This piece was never officially claimed by Banksy, and it got buffed earlier today. Enjoy these pics of Banksy's (probable) piece in Brooklyn Heights.
Too bad it got buffed. Some of these images from this location are absolutely striking.

Banksy's Stencil Cuttings Resurface
The stencil cuttings that were left behind from Banksy's Concrete Confessional have resurfaced with this image on the web.
M&F already posted action shots of some dude grabbing some paper from the Confessional. Wonder if it was this guy who ended up with the cuttings?
On the cutting, you can see the feint mist of a layer of paint in the face, and along the arm.
What do folks think? Not a full Banksy piece, but still rad to have a piece of Banksy!

BanksyNY - Sometimes, Makeshift is Enough
The battle rages on between the Banksy lovers and the Banksy haters in New York.
The other day, this Banksy piece was covered by some makeshift plexiglass. The plexiglass was only taped over the wall. Well, it appears that that was enough to preserve this Banksy from any real damage.
Even though the entire thing is painted blue, the paint is on top of the plexiglass, and Banksy's piece still remains intact underneath.
M&F is often torn between letting pieces play out a natural street life, or protecting them. But in these types of Banksy scenarious when so many haters are aiming at Banksy just for somewhere for their hate to aim, it seems like a good move in these circumstances to take minor steps to protect the pieces. After all, sometimes makeshift is enough.
Now where's the Banksy Restoration Society to fix this up?

Banksy's Newest!
Banksy just revealed his latest piece in New York for Better Out Than In.
This new piece makes great utilization of the environment.
Notice the key attention to detail like how the silhouette from the lady on the left continues down through the 'bridge'.

Banksy's Twin Towers Get Plexiglass Protected
A small, makeshift plexiglass protection has been placed over Banksy's Twin Towers tribute in New York.
And, it looks like another imitation flower has replaced the original that was taken.

Banksy's 'Twin' Twin Towers ***UPDATE***
Apparently, there is at least one more separate Twin Towers themed piece from Banksy.
This one is placed with a view of New York's skyline in the background.
However, there does not seem to be a flower attached to this piece.
***UPDATE: M&F does think that these alternative Twin Tower sightings are legit. These are also real Banksy pieces. This area specific piece is similar to what Banksy did with his Caution pieces in Los Angeles, placing the same image at multiple spots the same night.***

Here is the Spot for Banksy's Twin Towers
Here is the location for Banksy's new Twin Towers stencil.
After literally every Banksy piece that is within reach has been tagged over, defaced, or ruined, wonder what New Yorkers are going to do with this? Are they going to tag over a memorial to the Twin Towers in their very own city?

BanksyNY Tributes New York's Twin Towers
Banksy memorializes 9/11 and the Twin Towers in New York with his newest piece.
Very choppy stencil. The shading seems off on this one. Is Banksy trying to use this shading to say something?
