Like Real Life Grand Theft Auto
Epyon and 3Paws(?) get bombed behind Melrose.
With a shout out to Grand Theft Auto 5, bombing like this is like living the game on the streets.
Stay up!
Through the Mist
On the previously posted graffiti piece, there are a grip of stickers riding beneath the paint.
Even through the graffiti bombed over with complete fill-ins, the way that it was painted left a misted layer over the previously riding art.
Kind of cool the way that all the pieces are still riding.

Call to Los Angeles - Anyone Know Where This Is?
During Banksy's last run through Los Angeles in 2011, all the foot soldiers and Banksy Hunters helped track down Banksy's new pieces almost immediately, and sometimes even before Banksy even announced the pieces on his website.
So, if this piece is in Los Angeles, where is it?
The lighting sure looks like LA. It could be a sidewalk or an alleyway, but either way, it looks too clean for Hollywood or downtown. If M&F had to guess, maybe the Westwood area? (which is also where Banksy's first piece in 2011 went up, the awesome Crayon Soldier).
Anyone spot this on the streets? Anyone . . . .

The Perfect Moment for Love
Sometimes things on the streets just work out perfectly. . .
As M&F crouched down to snap shots of this 'Love Amor Love -R' sticker, this lovely couple walked by and lovingly put their arms around each other.
This wasn't staged, this is a perfect moment for love~

Another Banksy Tie-In to LA!
At this point, rumors are circulating like crazy that Banksy is going to have an art show and that its going to be in LA. However, so far, its all just rumors.
But here is something suggesting an LA tie-in that is a bit more substantial. It appears that the stencil image Banksy used for the announcement for 'Better Out Than In' was taken from the 'Yonkers' music video from Tyler the Creator. Tyler and his crazy Odd Future homeboys are locally based right on Fairfax.

2 Different Art Shows - Banksy Art Show October, Other Art Show November
The internet is still abuzz with rumors that Banksy's yet-to-be-announced art show is going to be in LA.
To be clear, there still has no official word from Banksy's camp as to what is happening in October, or where.
Meanwhile, on the streets of LA, pasters have been showing up announcing Banksy's art show as fact. As M&F stated yesterday, these 'Banksy October 2013' pasters are not from Banksy, or his team. Rather, the style and font used on the Banksy posters is the same as the art show posters that have been showing up around LA for the past month, hyping up a November art show. There are two different art shows. Both different posters can be seen on the box above.
Once again, the Banksy pasters are not official, but LA is still hopeful for Banksy!

Wake N' Bake
Wake 'n Bake with Lil Wayne.
Another paster up on Melrose as part of French street artist Combo's LA campaign 'Everybody Smokes'.
Because many of these pasters capped over local art when they went up, they keep getting defaced. It is clear that Combo has tried to hold down locations by putting up new pasters, but even the new ones have been crossed out and drawn on.

How Long Does Respect Ride on Legal Murals?
The city of Los Angeles has begun permitting murals, making them legal on the streets of LA once again.
However, even the city's support won't stop rogue street and graffiti artists from going over legal walls if the artists see fit.
But the thing is, most of the time street and graffiti artists don't paint over legal murals. Whether it is out of respect for the artist, the skills, or just supporting the arts, most of the time, legal murals don't get painted over.
But sometimes they do. Like here. This captures Kyote LTS capping over another graffiti writer who painted over this long riding mural on Venice Blvd. Its been riding so long that the paint is fading and chipping. There are a few other tags, but still, the majority is not bombed over.
How long does respect ride for legal murals? What are the 'street' guidelines for capping over legal work?

Still Hazardous
Plastic Jesus' Toxic Hazard installation didn't last long on Melrose--it was gone within a day.
But here are some more day time pics granting a better look at the tremendous installation. The art might be gone, but like the title says, this shit is still hazardous.

New Kobra Mural in Hollywood - Mother Teresa, Nelson Mandela & Martin Luther King Jr.
The Brazilian muralaist, Eduardo Kobra, just finished painting yet another incredible mural in Los Angeles.
This one is located on Highland Ave., and it features giant oversized portraits of Mother Tereza, Nelson Mandela and Martin Luther King Jr.
The artistry and talent that Kobra flaunts in these pieces is truly amazing. Its like he is toying with the idea of painting a mural and at the time setting the bar so high that few can compete on this level. Kobra not only paints likenesses on huge scale with impeccable detail, Kobra adds his signature checkerboard color patterns with prismatic precision.

We Hate To Say We Told You So . . . But We KEEP Telling People So!
Most folks in LA get up the right way, respecting other artists and the streets.
But the times that there is disrespect or needless capping, well, almost without fail the response is more disrespect and return capping.
Like here. M&F made a post a few weeks ago about how when you cap a head (this time with an ad), then it probably won't last long. It didn't. Here is the box now, with a freed up paster from The Fudre Mask, riding under a JTS capped paster from 'The Ceremonies'.
