Daily Barracuda Update - After The (kind of) Buff pt. 1/2

As our alert readers pointed out yesterday, even as we were posting the new art from earlier that same morning, the massive street art wall at De La Barracuda got buffed--kind of.

And even in spite of the buff, a grip of new art sprung up last night. Click the jump for more

Random Act of Flowers - Live Painting with Andrea LaHue

We chanced upon street artist/fine artist Andrea LaHue as she was painting one of her beautiful flowers on La Brea. People often ask the difference between street art and advertising, and this shot really exemplifies it well.

Daily Barracuda Update

There really does need to be a daily update to the changes in the art in this parking lot. There is always stuff happening, and the new changes include the drama of stuff being ripped down, and new art from 2wenty, Subtle, Morley and more.

Outpost Street Art - Making Art Out of What Once Was

The Hollywood sign wasn't always the biggest thing in the hills. In the 1920's this Outpost sign was once a giant neon red beacon dominating the skyline.

But the sign was abandoned 80 years ago, and the battered remains were left sitting on a ridge alongside Runyon Canyon--until now.

Someone has come along, and turned this eyesore into some beautifully improvised street art.
