Lame DTA
DTA is a clothing brand that has roots in the street game. They have stickers up all over LA. But this hit is absolutely lame.
Someone (Kerb(?)) from DTA rolled down Melrose with pasters and a can of spray paint. The pasters look alright, but the graffiti looks like crap. And it went out of its way to go over street art. How lame.
Especially weak how they went out of the way to cap Help Desk on the big poster.
Doing stuff like this seems to work against DTA's assumed goals. I mean, if you want to put stuff on the streets to get street cred, you've got to do it in a way that respects the streets. Otherwise, if you jump in like this, it seems like you have no idea what is happening on the streets. So, instead of gaining street cred, when you do it poorly like this, you actually lose street cred.
And, when you have a piss poor piece like this representing your clothing label, its like an advertisement that makes people not want to buy your gear, because they don't want to look like crap (like this piece).
As one of the pieces of art defaced, fuck you.
