When we first saw this, we said to a friend, 'This is a usual spot for art, but this looks like marketing.' The friend replied, 'Its definitely marketing'.
Think this is a new piece that is part of a campaign from Shepard Fairey called the 'Non-Toxic Revolution'.
I like it...

ReplyDeleteThat'll be capped tonight!!
ReplyDeleteIsn't that Nomade's free wall spot!?!?
I'm surprized at Sheptard!! Guess his street team didn't know!!
I wish these nannies would shut up and make sure that the ink they're using on their posters isn't toxic.
ReplyDeleteEVERYONE featured on this site is marketing and branding themselves-get off your high horse of judgement. He makes money and you dont-observation not judgement. Correct me if Im wrong..
ReplyDeleteWhat gives Nomad the gull to think he "owns" a spot? Nobody owns any spots!
ReplyDeleteHe makes money...but admittedly doesn't do his own work!!
ReplyDeleteGet of the "D"!
Correct me if im wrong...
You're wrong. Anonymous makes mad cash.
ReplyDeleteNo one owns a spot...you hold down a spot...and seeing that Nomade has had this spot for months now...it's considered theirs in this game!!
ReplyDeleteGet off the "D" and do a bit of homework before you try and school!!
If this is "advertising" its good advertising. Street art should raise public awareness and challenge cultural norms, this project does that. Much better than selling t-shirts via large corps. to every high school kid on the america or making record covers for all the "collectors" in LA. This is a step up for fairy in my opinion.
