DeeKay Sponsors Cat Adoption (Scavenger Hunt) - Today!

DeeKay is sponsoring a street art scavenger hunt. She has titled the hunt 'Cat Adoption', or, more specifically 'DeeKat Adoption Day'.

For the scavenger hunt, DeeKay will be placing these blocks of wood around the Melrose and Hollywood area. If you find one, feel free to 'adopt' it and take it home.

Very cool stuff. And, out of all the pieces to have, to get an original piece of artwork from Porn Star has got to be one of the best stories of anyone's collection.

You can read more about the hunt on DeeKay's website HERE.

Happy Hunting!

  4. Wow. Love all the hate for just trying to do something positive and fun.

    1. DeeKay is a play on my real name. Like I am the first person to share a similar name. At least I aint hiding behind the ever popular "anonymous". Learn some manners and have some respect for people in general.

    2. A lot of artists have done free art on the streets. Does someone have a corner on the market? If you want to adhere to THAT theory then go pick on all the people doing Banksy-esque stuff.

    3. Street art is there for everyone to enjoy. An expression of oneself. Most importantly; its freedom of speech.

I do love me some haters. Have a nice day.

  5. Hang on 'Anonymous' ... why should DeeKay change her name because other artists have a name that is similar? Is she claiming to be those artists... err no! Why is this disrespect? Has she dissed anyone... err, yet again no! It's great that free art is available regardless, why should she check out 80's graff history? You just sound sad and like a bit of a graff geek to be fair... new artists shouldn't get bogged down with what's been said or done before (it's fuckin art... hello!!!) or do we need to check it out with you first and your "OG book of Graffiti nerdism?" Seriously, Stop Hatin, go with the flow & watch THE ART (not the tags) progress... but my biggest tip for you would be get out the house more, you'll not sound so Geek-like & depressing with your living in the past bullshit! If you wanna take this as disrespect please feel free, people like you are just annoying... your comments show no class, you have no idea about art OR expression of art. You are stuck in the past & just wanna come across as clever & knowledgeable about the subject... blah blah blah. Get a life.
