New Lenin Sculpture on La Brea
A giant new sculpture of Lenin went up over the weekend in front of a building on 4th and La Brea. Thought this was an abandoned building, but apparently it is part of the ACE Gallery properties. Followers of street art might also be interested to note that this building was the location of Banksy's Jeff Koons themed piece a few years ago.
The piece was created by the Gao Brothers from China. The piece features purposefully staggered sections and a shiny chrome finish.
M&F planned to snap our own photos, but with the rain today, we decided to just borrow some great shots from Fairfax By Night, where you can read more about this piece. Photos from Fairfax By Night.
