Not Cool
Whoever is putting up the Scientology posters keeps going over Morley, and we think it is not cool.
There was plenty of space to get up at this spot, but the Scientology posters went up right over Morley's. And, it was done purposefully to cover all of Morley's art, but not his name.
Morley has said that this is a battle that he doesn't want a part of, and yet the posters keep going after him. Morley has seen a lot of success this past year, and maybe its a simple as folks hating on the goodness he has a achieved.
The poster in the middle also seems to reveal that this is campaign is probably making fun of Scientology. Still, the whole purpose is puzzling. Posters cost money, and it adds up. This little compilation would probably cost around $35-40 to print at retail outlets--and there are a lot more posters around the city. M&F is all for supporting those who want to poke fun at religion, but if that's what's happening, it could be more clear. And if it is taking place on the streets, it would be a lot more relevant if it didn't cap over other artists.

Lol thats funny... Morley SUX! Seen a poster that said "Even if I ask for your opinion, all I really want is compliments" Morley simply takes the same image and puts it on top of new words. I love art and neither the scientology or morley are that. . .
ReplyDeleteIs morley a scientologist perhaps?
ReplyDelete-JackPot
For as much money, time and energy this bro spends on pissing off artists- he could be a little more clear as to who he is and what the hell he's trying to say.
ReplyDeletelame
ReplyDeleteProps!! scientology!! those sarcastic humor Morlie prints are annoying!! finally someone stepped up!! and of course, Morley backed off... "I dont want to battle, Battling is for real Bboys" *Morleys next quote*
ReplyDeleteevery Morley poster I've seen has a different drawing on it. also I'm pretty sure the Compliments line is supposed to be ironic. i don't think morley's a scientologist. this guy's been capping a lot of artists. i don't think any of them are scientologists either. love or hate morley, this guy is a dick and i wish he'd go away.
ReplyDeleteIt's nice to know that the dude at the top gets to decide what is and isn't art for all of us. It makes having an opinion so much less stressful.
ReplyDeleteDoes this Scientology guy have a name or a website even a Facebook page? I heard he's from NYC.
ReplyDeleteNo Prob!Lol 50mm Los Angeles if you want some real art -GUY ON TOP-
ReplyDeleteSo you're calling out this guy, but not Supreme? Isn't Supreme an even larger issue since they are putting up ads all over the city over a variety of work? At least this might be art, even if it is going over something.
ReplyDeletemorley, supreme and scientology are all the same thing... NOT INTERESTING
ReplyDeleteyes i agree with anonymous. I want to be told what to think about a piece of art.
ReplyDeletei bet that everyone on this website jumped on the 'street art' bandwagon this past year. your so trendy! don't you just feel awesome.
ReplyDeleteL Ron Hubbard gets up
ReplyDeleteLMAOOO, Morley has to have this blog fight his battles and try to defend him. "Oh please Mr Scientology, stop capping our friends". LMAOOOO LAMMME!!! Step it up and fight your battles Morley. Dont be a coward.
ReplyDeleteHey Anonymous 9:34pm
ReplyDeleteur comment about street art bandwagons is severely inaccurate.
There are a lot of "Gift Shoppers" on this blog but not everyone homeboy.
bombing since 86 and yeah "IT FEELS AWESOME!" you fucking toy.
That kind of comment has become cliche on this blog-youre way behind the times loser. Should have said that 2 years ago when it was relevant.
Welcome to the world of the public space. Get used to it. In my view, the Scientology posters are a challenge to what is directly around. If you get challenged, then step up and push back. If you don't want to engage in capping back and forth then paste or do whatever it is you do, just twice as much. Just because M&F does not like it, doesn't mean your untouchable.

Where do you go to print? The smaller Scientology sheets look like they are ten cent 8x11 blk&w copies. $30-$40 for just this compilation? Maybe for the WHOLE print job. Assuming they paid for it. You never know, many people have the hook up.

This is the problem with "Street Art", you are mostly all little girls. Street art is basically graffiti's gay uncle...it's a bunch of fruitcakes trying to be super "artistic" but not willing to take on the realities of the streets. They want "Peace and love" and cant handle beef and battling. If you want your flowery art, go put it in a gallery bro.
ReplyDeleteIf you get capped, then you cap that person back if you if you have any self respect as an artist. You NEED to go over that writer who capped you because you got to stay relevant and maintain your steez.
Beef is part of what makes graffiti so fun, its about battling with that spot-jocker who
1. went over you and
2. then got you buffed cause his shit burned the spot!....
If you're in the game of graffiti or street art, whatever, then you better be prepared to cap a sucka if he messes with your spot.. like Tribe says -
Sucka nigga, nigga nigga
I throw the sucka in the front for the ones that front
As for Morley vs. Scientology... Morley needs to step up and realize that even if "this is a battle he wants no part of" he has no choice. He IS part of it. Where are your balls Morley? go claim your spot back man.
And Scientology, you're a straight weirdo with that Scientology shit, not art at all. But i will give you props on making a completely mundane image create so much buzz just by capping some art school "Street artist" from Iowa or shot Midwest shit hole. I think its hilarious that your getting so many people angry and even this website is getting pissed... hahaha.
Anyway,
stop being little girls.
Kyter (yes, i actually leave my name all you anon shit talkers)
^^ U seem to know a lot of street art/graffiti game..... I doubt your OG KYTER from ORC........one rule of art, never call call yourself a name that someone already has...especially if they are a monster artist...check nuts homie!!
ReplyDeleteIt's extremely inexpensive to print posters if you are not a uuntalented, worthless toy and know how to pull a screen. Costs pennies.
ReplyDeleteKYTE ORC!!
ReplyDeleteThats the homie!
Anon 10:21 knows his shit. That wack toy should call himself Byter.
Ive seen the poser kyters "work", term used losely, and it doesnt
compare at all with KYTE ONE ORC.
Only GIRLS write as much as this poser kyter did about their feelings on a blog.
Dude always whines like a bitch about everyones whining for like 5 paragraphs
-thats irony. He does exactly what he bags about. Mental problems..And his use of the word CAP tells me hes brand new. Only wheat pasters use that term. Its called a DIS.
ORC!
ReplyDeleteSeen you both up new kyter with your little letter envelopes and OG Kyter Orc. Prob. should get a new name, just saying cause when I just recently started seeing you up I thought it was the OG Kyter. But ether way who cares, I know mad dudes with the same name it happens. Just realize if you keep the name at some point your gonna have to deal with confrontation.
ReplyDeleteHAHAHA LIFES 2 BORING!!! L2B ... 83 OG ... SEE YALL ON THE STREETS!
ReplyDeletewhy dont all you anons 1) get off KYTE ORC dick and 2) if youre talking about beef, then write your actual name. not anonymous. anon 10:52, what do you write? do you even paint or are you some "street artist" still living with your parents? go ahead, put ur name out there. I'll battle all day, every day... fucking punk.
ReplyDeletethe term "cap" is not a "street artist" term, it goes way back from the early beginnings of writing. Ever seen style wars? The word "Cap" derived partly from the writer "Cap" cause he capped other writers work. The word dis, is a synonym for a cap... same meaning. But sounds like ya'll don't know what a synonym even is. Been writing "Kyter" since 2003. Not going to change it. There are plenty of duplicate names out there... i could give a shit.
-KYTER
We NEVER used that word Mr 2003. Yeah it may root back to the guy Cap but NO ONE started using that word until this street art shit started getting popular and thats the fucken truth you wack piece of shit. You have NO SKILLS and you think your some kind of graf historian based only on videos and what the web has given you. Who do you run with bigshot? Nobody cuz who the fuck would wanna hang out with some ego freak with nothing to back it up with. That shit at MBW you did-try making your letters match next time-looks real amateur man. Quality control. And you put your name on that-wow.
ReplyDeleteDont think of it like were on Kytes dick-I know its difficult for you to think outside the homosexual box, we respect him period. And thats respect EARNED not demanded. You are gay right? All good-nothin wrong with it at all man. Just go with it so youre not so angry all the time.
Not scared to post my name either-all eyes on you...
-KYTER TKC FYA
Really?
ReplyDeleteFunny that the biggest word he uses is synonym and just cuz he just learned it he thinks no one knows what it means. And how could it sound like we dont know what a synonym is when he only brought it up a mere sentence before. I look forward to his contradictions and vast internet found grafitti knowledge. And the ego coupled with no talent is AWESOME-This dudes dillusional as they come. So misplaced and feeble that I giggle while writing this. 2003LOL!!!!! I wouldnt claim like thats something to be proud of. Even Brainwash has more time in the game than him.LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Ive written KYTER SMD since 99 fool! I am the ONE AND ONLY KYTER!
