Leg Cut Off
Cool little framed piece featuring a girl with a bandaged foot and holding scissors.
Fun piece, however it is placed in the middle of the intersection on Wilshire. Such a spot might be a good place for a piece that can be seen quickly by the passing cars, but a tiny piece like this cannot be fully appreciated where it is. It is on the back side of the crosswalk, so the pedestrians won't notice it unless they go out of their way, either.
But dig it. And look forward to more of these guys.

Would you say then that this is the opposite of fame banger?

^Hey Joel,
ReplyDeletePerhaps. But by placing a small piece in the middle of a busy intersection, it seems like it wants to get noticed by because of its location it has a hard time doing so.
But this little piece might find a better home in a nook or cranny, somewhere few but appreciative eyes will interact with it.
Thanks for pointing that out, though.
Stay up!
