LA's Official Street Art District is Melrose and Fairfax
The area of Melrose and Fairfax has long been the unofficial home of street art in Los Angeles. Well, now it can be considered downright official with a brand new 'Street Art District' sign placed at the corner of the intersection at Melrose and Fairfax.
This new official looking sign is a collab project that has long been in the works between Teacher and Toolz.
Dig it.~ Thanks to all the street artists who make the Melrose and Fairfax area home base for street art in Los Angeles. M&F is going to keep documenting and keep celebrating all the action on the streets.
Stay up!~

thank you Melrose and fairfax, Ms Art Queen, and Mohamed! Toolz came up with the design of the sign and i made it. putting it up was comedic... let's just say it wasn't a smooth transaction.... kinda like the comments on curbed la - http://la.curbed.com/archives/2013/02/its_a_sign_the_street_art_district.php#reader_comments - they should call it curbed hate. =)
