Up and then Gone

This giant new piece went up yesterday morning on Highland.

It features a statue of what looks like a statue of a Buddhist Monk, and next to it the writing 'This Is Not A Crime'. Unknown artist.

The piece went up, and then the same day it got taken down by the dude in the white jumpsuit who was reportedly taking pictures of it first.

***Big thanks to Kristie for sending in the story and the pics***

  2. @paloaltotechcom It's so great that there are artists talking about this in the streets. This needs to be discussed on a large scale. We need news coverage on this shit and more artists talking about the fact that ITS JUST FUCKING PAINT!! It's absurd that we can go to prison for PAINT!!!!! @itsfragile

  5. fucking up peoples shit is a crime... deal with it. cry about that shit somewhere else. thats the ESSENCE of art on the street, its ILLEGAL, its PASSIONATE, and its TEMPORARY.

if it were legal there would be barbiedoll paintings and fucking more stupid shit hanging from trees, not to mention QUANTUM amounts of hacked celebrity photos, and then the companies would MURDER the streets with ads, because they have waaay more money than any of us (even more than muska and alec-maybe).
