Fresh Street Art - The Gardener
New piece of street art placed in West Hollywood by Ramiro Gomez Jr we are calling 'The Gardener'.
Ramiro explains this piece by saying, "I work as a male nanny for various families on the west side of town and the Hollywood Hills. My experiences with work have exposed me to all the gardeners and housekeepers that work alongside me. The work I am currently doing is a mixture of street art and installation. This piece was located near the intersection of Romaine and Sweetzer in West Hollywood. It was put up this afternoon. Hand-painted in acrylic on cardboard. I regularly read the blog and enjoy seeing the creativity on this side of town. I seek to bring attention to the hardwork of the many people in the west end who are just trying to makes ends meet. I hope that you could support.".
Its great to see some relevant street art calling attention to the people who work hard for minimal pay, at what are many times thankless jobs. Cool piece of street art with a great message.
Indeed. Support. And stay up~

really cool. i have a pc. which would not have the impact it does if it where on canvas, as oppose to cardboard. i think cardboard puts to the fore front disposibility-esp. whith the image you have painted. i mean, who is more "disposible" "garbage" then a lowly gardener/other minimum wage earner?
ReplyDeletepeople who work hard for minimal pay, at what are many times thankless jobs=buffers?
ReplyDeleteShould someone make a piece of street art that shows how illegal aliens have bankrupted California? You're all being robbed, right in front of your eyes.
ReplyDeleteThose illegal aliens that you say bankrupted California aren't running the banks or holding government positions. They are too busy cleaning after you and them and making sure we have food in our markets.
