Pics From Mr. Brainwash's 'Art Show 2011'
Today was the first day that Mr. Brainwash opened up the space for his future gallery for anyone in the community to come and put up art.
There was a strong turnout, and it was really cool watching the art get placed. People from all walks of life showed up--from seasoned street artists, to children, to even older folks who were doing street art for the first time. Stay tuned for more pics and stories of the action from the opening day of Brainwash's 'Art Show 2011'.
Here is a shot of Phobik pasting up a dope hand painted piece, with Surrendr getting up in the background next to a piece by Gune.
And if you haven't yet, be sure to head down to the studio space at the corner of La Brea and Romaine in Los Angeles. The community art project is going to be open for at least the next 3 days from 12-4. Much of the area is filling in, but Mr. Brainwash wants the art covering everything, from floor to ceiling and everything in between. He said that if the art is too much for the 20,000 square feet, he might open up higher levels of the building. So head on down, and come on down to be part of 'Art Show 2011'!
