Stikman Scavenger Hunt - Find Em or Win Online!

New scavenger hunt from Stikman--and this one has a chance for people online to win!

A new scavenger hunt from Stikman was just placed on the streets. The prize is one of Stikman's hot limited edition 2012 Calendar. The calendar is also signed on the back by Stikman.

The prizes have been hidden at 5 spots pictured, which many street art enthusiasts will recognize from following the blog. They are all in the Melrose and La Brea area and have been placed in spots where only people who want them will get them. Stretching or climbing is involved for most.

Stikman gets up from NY to LA. He is a favorite on M&F and these are sure to go fast so hurry out and try to score!

But . . . there is another way to win for online followers. There are 5 more calendars which are going to be mailed out to online winners. You can win by leaving a comment on this post. The winners will be randomly chosen, but it is always fun to hear what you enjoy about Stikman's street art, or what you plan to do with the prize if you win.

The only rules for the online contest is that you leave your name in the comment, because everyone would claim anonymous. If you dont feel comfortable leaving your full name, an abbreviated version will do (for instance--if your name is Diane Mitchum, you could leave Diane Mitch, or Diane Mit--just something to make it separate from the others).

Winners will be announced in the next few days, and then contacted by email to have the prize mailed out.

Thanks Stikman and happy hunting to everyone!

  4. My favorite thing Stikman does are the Stikmen that are actually in the street. It's awesome when you're walking along and you see one his creations just being driven over in the street. No one realizes what it is unless you look closely, and it's great to see when people actually stop and check one out.

I'd love one of these calendars because lesbihoooooonest, they're badarse! :D I've only seen January and I can already tell it's the kind of calendar you actually want to hang up proudly. Street Art + Date Reminder = Greatness.

  5. Stikman's style is only found on a rare occasion. When you look closely its just another sticker than you look closer and its a creature of some sort with vibrant colors, than you look even closer and you see how much detail he puts in his art. Waking up to another ugly day in LA but than checking your Stikman calendar would brighten up everyones day!

  7. I'll never forget the 1st time i came across a stikman, i just left moca's art in the streets and was still blown away by swoons massive piece she put up, walking across the street i came across 2 stikman that blew my mind away, never had i seen ANYTHING like it, to the point where i literally stopped traffic not giving a fuck!

from that point on i wanted to make sure i came across many of these out of the box creations before they were buffed or jacked from the haters. i found over 20 different pieces from stikman which are all amazing pieces!!! and if pics are needed to prove it, i would love to send them in!(my favorite piece from stikman was the wheatpaste he put on the traction wall in dtla, how many of y'all have that on camera?) would LOVE to have one of these amazing calendars hung on my wall at the crib, nothing but the upmost respect for stikman for him getting up around coast to coast. every single piece he makes are totally unique and out of the box. and a very BIG thank you for providing this scavenger hunt for the people, anyone does that is pretty much considered a "TRUE ARTIST" in my book

STAY UP STIKMAN and BIG UPS to M&F for the info

  8. this is dope, I know where there's a stickman still rocking. :)
it's funny, cuz the city buffed the wall it's on, so now it's cameoulfalged
into the color of the wall. you could only find it if you actually walk up to the wall.
