Walls Occupied with Dissenting Opinions
A short while back, M&F posted a feature of a Sabo burka ad takeover piece placed on the outside of MBW's 'Art Show 2011'.
There were over 100 comments left, with over half of them being from Sabo himself. Sabo is an ultra right wing zealot, and he seems to enjoy trying to aggravate people. But he doesn't seem to like when people talk shit on him or his pieces, which many people do.
Sabo recently put up a new burka piece, and it received some commentary of its own. The burka was ripped off the piece, revealing Anthony Kiedis on the poster. Sabo had also written his name across Kiedis belly, and someone came and modified the letters to read 'Its a boy'.
And, next to Sabo's piece but not directly capping it is an occupy piece from Felix with a character wearing a Vendetta mask. Not sure, but this seems to be a street conversation, just saying there are multiple voices on the streets. It also seems that Felix wrote something that says 'Jew in a . . .', but we didn't get a pic of the bottom part.
Sabo's poster also has a pigeon saying 'Fuck Peace' added to it. The sentiment is so ridiculous that its almost humorous. Just like Sabo claims to want war, it is never a good thing, and even people who love a good tiff don't enjoy being the brunt of the joke.
Thought the guy with the hose planned to buff these, but he asked what it was about. We told him it was street art. He pointed at the Sabo ad-takeover and said, "Not that one. That's an ad!". But he said he liked street art, and did not plan to buff the art.
