Hanksy Presents - Cage Against the Machine
New York based artist Hanksy pays a visit to Los Angeles and paints a new mural on Melrose entitled 'Cage Against the Machine'.
For those who don't know, Hanksy got their artist name by combining Banksy with Tom Hanks, and stenciling a rat with the actor's face around New York. This mural combines Nicholas Cage with Rage Against the Machine, and the art shows Cage riding a machine like a horse.
The word play is clever, sure. But the humor wears off quickly, and the end result feels like more of a joke than art.
