Art vs. Ads
Art vs. Advertisements is an ongoing battle in the street art world.
Often times, that line is blurred because sometimes artists are the same ones doing ads.
Some folks think that there should not be a distinction, but one big difference is the way that the streets are approached. Those who work with ads are often times out of touch with the streets.
Like here. This same artist painted a paid mural down the street, and then travelled down Melrose to put this cap over a street art paster.
Riding below a JTS paster that, we believe, is purposefully capping what they believe to be an advert.
The streets are tricky. There are no clear answers. What do folks think?
