Kai's New Family Wall
Kai has put a new piece up on the family wall.
With paint splatters, print patterns, and semi-abstract figures, it is at least nice to look at. We actually like it, and find it somewhat visually pleasing, but not in a deep way. The art has progressed from high school art project to hotel art-pleasing not profound.
Its cool to see the growth Kai has made. And he seems to have learned quickly about the ways of the streets. Maybe the best way Kai could progress his art would be to, instead of using the family wall for a huge feature piece, open the wall up and designate it as a true art wall. Like the art wall downtown. All kinds of artists would contribute bringing fresh new work, and Kai could use it as a massive, ever evolving black book.
We would love to see something like that happen.
