There are two ways to vote for your favorite street artist(s) this year!
1). First, email your vote to melroseandfairfax@gmail.com. Vote for any or all the categories you choose-and feel free to write in any candidate(s). One-Vote-Per-Person~
2.) Second- Place your Vote at the Polls on the right sidebar. Vote as many times as you want - but to do so YOU MUST CLEAR COOKIES AND REFRESH YOUR BROWSER HISTORY EACH TIME.

ReplyDeleteIts pretty cool that you have this going on, it brings together the viewer and the artist and fun for everyone.
ReplyDeleteHowever and with all due respect I think it should be named "Melrose Ave's Best" Or Melroseandfaifirfax's best" because your nominees list is excluding many top sticker and poster artist. It just doesnt cover all of Los Angeles.
For Example. On Sticker Section. Plavex, Mugre and Jose have saturated Mid-City area as well as DTLA and surrounding towns. Bankruptslut has rarely ventured outside of Melrose Ave. I have not yet run into any of his slaps in pico-union, chinatown, koreatown,etc areas. Smog City who is a phenomenal artist didn't really hit hard this year as he has in previous years. Gregory i've only seen on Melrose the few last months of 2010. Herbert Hippo? DWA? Good people i'm sure but rarely seen. Where is HAEL ? he did some damage along with M1.
Graffiti Section is missing some bombers. Would have been great to include Rick "Atlas" Ordonez who killed the freeways with his cats and although was incarcerated he did enough damage to cover his brief off time and then his recent show at 33thrid pretty much closed his year on a high note.
Crew Group: I agree TSF should take this one.
Where's DETHKILLS?

ReplyDeleteBut I understand that cuts have to be made. And I think it is clear that this is melrose and fairfax presents best of LA.
As for bankrupt slut being on melrose-bankrupt slut is all over hollywood and its everywhere! maybe not midtown, but that's like comparing kress to mcdonalds
