A long time installation from Space invader got taken off this wall on Sunset.
While it is easy to understand how someone would want a piece of street art, or a Space Invader for that matter, it remains puzzling why someone would take an installation like this. Since none of it is attached, without the shape of what it is, once you take it off the wall aren't you just left with a pile of tiles?
The remains are up with Bankrupt Slut, Koffinz, and ASVP.

If this is the direction in which street art is going, f this. It's bad enough that Banksy's pieces can't last long enough for people to actually see, but if someone is going to steal tiles, regardless of who put them there, especially without at least taking the entire chunk of wall out, than this is getting out of hand.

And good luck trying to sell tiles that are unidentifyable. Cant prove it whatsoever. Zero authentication means zero money. Even if, you wouldnt get 100 g's for it-not a chance. 15,000 at the most and thats really only for the smaller mosaic ones that he doesn't even do anymore due to theft- they were too easy to steal. So its kinda worthless in reality.
Its not only the people who steel them. ITS THE PEOPLE WHO BUY THIS SHIT! No one would be steeling this shit if there weren't stupid white people with too much money who buys this shit. Similar to our problem with the war on drugs. Everyone wants to blame Mexico... But no one wants to look at why the USA Consumes more cocaine than any other country! Especially all the white girls here in Hollywood. There would be a market for drugs if stupid white people didn't buy them. Same with stolen space invaders, Or Stolen Banksy's...If people would STOP Buying stolen art or cocaine, there would NOT be such a demand. And to the idiot who who posted the second comment on here Those tiles are NOT worth 100,000. Their only worth what someone is willing to pay for it. People are so fuckin stupid! It would be better to go to a hardware store and buy the tiles then get arrested for steeling them. THIS IS LA, home to some of the dumbest people in America!
