Skyler Grey Doing Big Things
Skyler Grey has been doing some big things, and achieving quite a bit of success in the gallery scene.
Skyler just sold 2 paintings here in Los Angeles for $3500 apiece, which means he is absolutely balling compared to his peers. And Skyler's work has been accepted into galleries in London and Sweden.
Skyler has also been collaborating with artists, and he just finished a project with David Flores. Shown above is also pic of Skyler with Chris Brown, and the two plan to collaborate on some work as well. Skyler might not have sold as many records as Chris, but M&F thinks he is the real rock star in the shot!
Very cool to see Skyler doing such big things--not sure Skyler's actual age, but especially remarkable for being so young.
Stay up!

Anyone who believes this is as gullible as the person who "bought" this shit
ReplyDeleteThis little kid is the business! I've been watching him on facebook since I met him at Thinks Space Gallery and he is really making moves. A lot of adults should take notes on how he works the crowd.
ReplyDeletesure thing Dad
DeleteLook, he stopped covering his face and only has work in a gallery. He is a true street artist now.
ReplyDeleteI find it interesting that some individuals believe it is necessary to criticize the work of a budding young artist who is still learning and growing through experimenting with various media and artistic techniques. Oftenit is "young people" who have not had their creativity stifled by those who insist on conformity to existing artistic styles who blaze a new pathway by seeing things differently from the status quo. Instead of criticizing his work, we should be encouraging and supporting this young man who obviously has great talent and a tremendous future. Kudos to Skyler!
ReplyDeleteMay be street art has stifled his imagination. I am pretty sure he did not take the picture of winehouse, and the images of Andy
DeleteMouse aren't too original either. Where is the naive originality and imagination? Seems a bit contrived and a little controlled. His colors are nice, but I for one would like to see a completely authentic image. Especially at those prices.
Let's stop with the hate, people. Grow up.
ReplyDeletehahahhaha he is just 12, thats awesome let him do his thing! although i would like to know who would pay 3500 for that..
ReplyDeleteWill Smith and Nas bought one. I think his family is in the music business.
Deletethis is what is wrong with street art and why it will never be taken seriously from other artists out in the scene
ReplyDeleteCongrats mate from Berlin.
ReplyDeleteChris Brown is all about P.R. nowadays.
ReplyDeleteSkyler stole Lister's haircut, hahahaha
ReplyDeleteYou Rock Skyler
ReplyDeleteim lovn the queen amy winehouse.
ReplyDeleteInstant fame thanks to this blog that creates instant street artists. Glad he made that money i aint hating on that. unfortunately street art has been on the decline thanks to the this blog and the banksy movie that inspired wannabees as opposed to artist that grew up with the passion. any rich person with zero knowledge on street art and who is a fan of amyw inehouse that were given a lie sales pitch from labart claiming this kid is prolific would have bought this.
ReplyDeletesorry but this kid is just some little puppet for his weird stage dad.
ReplyDeleteNew York your loves you Skyler. Dont listen to these jealous haters. I would be mad too if I was an artist my whole life and couldnt sell a painting for $35 and see a kid sell something for $3500. Keep you head up.
ReplyDeleteThen I guess you are mad. This is a street art blog not a "sell your shit in a gallery for $1000's blog" The readers don't give a shit about this cat cuz he's not up. He doesn't have shit riding and whatever he did was some 3rd rate MBW bootleg poster last summer.
Deletedont care for the kid get some new slaps everyone is tired of ur same sticker thats why everytime he gives me one dont need it u just gave me the same one last week hahahah and hes not a street artist his dad wheatpastes for him hahahaha
