People Like Their Own Heads
Sometimes one street artist will interact with another street artist's piece by putting their piece over the original. It is not necessarily meant as a cap, but as an interaction.
However, people like their own heads, and to the artist who had the original piece, they might not like the 'interaction' so much and do see it as a cap.
Fons has been 'interacting' with pieces on Melrose by putting his Fons head over them in a way that does essentially cap the piece, like with this shot of Fons going over a Burn One piece.
One of Burn's homeboy's, Wil, let Fons know that the head cap was not appreciated by face capping of his own on multiple pieces from Fons at the same location.
