Los Angeles is a modern urban city in every way. Which makes us sometimes forget that the landscape is marvelous and wild underneath all the concrete.
Have you ever wondered why there is always water at the top of Laurel Canyon? Its because there are all kinds of natural springs throughout the Hollywood Hills. Like this one. This natural spring has bubbled to the surface over the last couple weeks along the trail at Runyon Canyon.
Fascinating stuff. This, on a large scale, is what makes places like Yellowstone so popular. Take a moment and imagine Los Angeles without asphault everywhere. And we are so thankful that there are places like Runyon where people can experience what natural Los Angeles is like.
