Whoa. A metal protective chain guard did not stop some thieves from chopping through the gate and trying to rob this spot on Melrose. There was no broken glass on the ground so maybe the burglars didn't get in.
But crazy work to cut through each individual bar on the gate!
The fire department cut that when the Snake Pit bar next door caught on fire.
