The Green Scene- California Medical Marijuana - Skywalker
MELROSEandFAIRFAX is going to start a new occasional feature called 'The Green Scene' where we cover and review our favorite strains of Medical Marijuana in California.
We are going to start this series right at the top, with our very favorite all-time weed, Skywalker.
Coming from out of state where we used to have to self medicate with whatever the 'dealer' had in stock (marijuana being an illegal drug most places and therefore requiring a street dealer to acquire it is just another bad side effect caused by it being against the law in the first place--but that is another issue in and of itself), it is a very cool thing being able to go into a clinic and find the same strains, and knowing what to expect from the medication each time.
Hands down, our favorite all time weed is a strain known as 'Skywalker'.
Skywalker is a hybrid, roughly 80% indica and 20% sativa. And when it is smoked it, Skywalker has both the heavy, relaxing qualities associated with an indica, as well as the more uplifting, 'zippy' feeling that comes with a sativa.
The reason that Skywalker is our favorite is that it is super powerful, and one of the only strains that we don't seem to build up a big tolerance to. It remains a heavy hitter even after being smoked for weeks straight.
It tastes great when smoked. Full of flavor and tart. And this is a particularly good batch with firm dense nuggets loaded with THC crystals (Click the last pic to see what we mean!).
If you have your medical marijuana license and haven't tried Skywalker yet, we 'highly' recommend you do so~
***NOTE: If any dispensaries would like to sponsor 'The Green Scene', hit us up. We are happy to review and write about more strains and blast the collective out there. All it takes is a little green (and we don't mean money!)***

ReplyDeleteOne more great reason to tune into Melrose&Fairfax...
ReplyDeletesmoke weed every day.

Don't smoke weed, but you started this segment off with something correlated to Star Wars. I freaking APPROVE!
ReplyDeleteYeah! That shit was bomb!
ReplyDeleteWEED + ART = THE BEST EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteDO WE SEND YOU FREE WEED AND FREE ART TO GET ON THE BLOG??????????????????????
More proof that medical marijuana is a farce, and exactly the reason why it was Los Angeles, that rejected prop 19. The marijuana community wants to be taken seriously and wants to be considered legitimate medicine, but promotes itself in the exact opposite way.
ReplyDeleteIt's your blog, do what you want, but like the other anonymous said it hurts your credibility and professionalism. If you are going to be the voice of the LA street art community, which after Banksy was in town you sort of became de facto, you need to consider your audience and how you represent the street art scene especially to people that may come in already skeptical of whether or not they see street art as legitimate. Associating street art with other questionable activities just makes street art more questionable and less legitimate.
i dont back it at all. stick to art. start a weed blog.
ReplyDeleteI dig it. Maybe it'll get super popular and you can start a new blog dedicated to the green stuff exclusively. I'd like to recommend reviewing smoking devices too. There are a ton out there and some are just plain better than others.
ReplyDeleteThanks!
^^^ haters be hatin
ReplyDeletedo your thing Melrose&Fiarfax! Ill be looking out for more of these reviews!
Calm yourselves Blog Censors--Who FN cares if theres a post about weed--or anything loosely related to art. (and thats just about EVERYTHING FOLKS.)
ReplyDeleteAnd If U dont like it, then scroll past it, stop the whining and get over yourself. All of the content boundaries that you so wisely suggest are for you to worry about alone-not the blog. ONLY YOU are aware of your personal convictions-so how is some blog supposed to read YOUR mind? Thats not their job whatsoever. I, like most others here, want to see uncensored content and I will choose for myself what I want to see.
Screw your 'Street Art Blog Rules' -- because THEY DONT EXIST--Censorship Equals Fear.

I think it's a great idea - and I love the kitty! :) Peace.
