Revok Arrested at LAX
Even though the LAPD have been telling major news outlets that the graffiti around MOCA is a big problem, they have no arrests to show for it, and even botched the one stop they did make (as Space Invader was fortunate enough to get away after placing his art).
So, in what reeks of a big publicity stunt in an effort to save face, the LAPD is announcing that they arrested Revok at the LA Airport. The police themselves are touting it as a 'high profile' apprehension. Like it has been shown on many TV shows, we can picture the brass of the LAPD sitting around saying 'get us something to show on tv!'. Its unfortunate that the LAPD felt they had to make an example of someone, and even more unfortunate that Revok had to take the fall.
Revok is an incredible graffiti artist who not only hits the streets, but also is one of the most celebrated muralists in the world and was even part of MOCA's current 'Art In the Streets' exhibition.

this is bullshit! The pigs are enemy's of humanity, most notably the youth of today. In an attempt to secure cultural stagnation they will continue to target the artistic and philosophical leaders, because ART SAVES LIVES. The PIGS ruin them.
ReplyDeleteShitty
ReplyDeleteSoooo stupid.
ReplyDeleteThe worst part about this is that the state of California has NO money. Paying LAPD Pigs to arrest people is wasting California Tax payers money! We are all paying for this! and for these LAPD fat fucks to have a pension and a retirement plan.. FUCK the Pigs! They eat up way to much of Tax Payers money! All to chase people who want to make the Streets of LA a bit more colorful. Fuck Concrete! Fuck LAPD! Keep painting the streets of LA! We need more color in this concrete jungle!

I was just there this weekend & there was no grafitti anywhere, just a wheat pasted something on the tin shed outside MOCA & a cute robot painted on carboard who asked to go home with us
ReplyDeletewith a $320,000 bail!! i guess i don't really know that much about appropriate bail sizes, but surely that seems extraordinarily high....

ReplyDeleteSux for homeboy, props on the get ups. Personally, he thinks hes the shit. Maybe he needs to go to the joint and experience a "humbling" moment. So when he comes back out, he can continue rocking the streets humble. Real spit foos.
