Military Graffiti - The Graffiti of War
Although the blog is LA centered, this story was sent to us, and we figured that there are plenty of military families in LA to warrant posting.
Boing Boing has a cool story about 'The Graffiti of War'. It is an interesting read about the role graffiti is playing in the military, and covers everything from claiming territory with pieces, to the therapeutic aspect of the art to how, even on a military base, there is unsanctioned tagging that cannot be prevented. (That's probably therapeutic too~)
Very cool story, and one that really shows graffiti in a different light.
***Big thanks to our good friend Dave for sending in the story***
