Street Art Swings
Artist Jeff Waldman has received a grant from the 'Awesome Foundation' to place 1000 unsanctioned swings in Los Angeles.
He plans to hang the swings from trees and urban things like poles or bridges. It sounds like a really cool project. We love the way it actively changes an urban environment into a playground.
To see more about this project you can watch this video.
Jeff is looking for help with his project, especially with finding spots and putting up the swings. If you have some ideas, or would like to get involved, you can email Jeff at his email jeffrey.waldman@gmail.com .
Very cool. Look forward to seeing how this goes down.

genius.
ReplyDeleteBrilliant!
ReplyDeleteLove this idea.
ReplyDeleteIs this a picture from BNF in Paris?
ReplyDeleteThat picture is of swings hung by Jerome G. Demuth, and yes, in Paris. I'm Jeff by the way and I really could use some ideas on areas or specific spots to hang them.
ReplyDeleteNice project.
ReplyDeleteEspecially on this spot : "Passerelle Simone de Beauvoir"
As much as I like the idea I have to ask what's going to happen when someone breaks their neck falling off one of them?
ReplyDeleteThis is Cali, land of the lawsuits, watch your back Jeff.
