Colur vs. War

Colur takes back the art wall for the art on the other half of Traction.

This section of the Traction Art Wall is still riding--and still bustling with activity. After LA vs. War's lame takeover of the wall, which essentially just covered and painted over a giant section of the wall, Colur came back and capped the big advertisement on the wall. Its nothing against the artists, per say, but against the ads and the idea that an organic natural art wall looks better with regulation just falls flat. It looked like the 'takeover' intended to take over the whole wall with lined up square posters, but as it progressed from right to left, the it became harder to line up, and the art did become more natural looking.

And Colur's response was also humorous. It didn't attack the artists, but the idea of the the show. Colur not only capped the big ad, but next to a cool Leba piece with a character saying 'Say Something', Colur put a new bear up where his old bear with a machine gun had got covered. This new bear doesn't look impressed with his arms folded and he says 'Foh!'.

Dig the way these Colur pieces brought the art wall back to the art, an did it in a fun way.
