Poor Placement All Over Your Face!
Its a shame. Swoon's beautiful street art piece got capped not once but twice with a graffiti bomb, and a graffiti tag on top of that. The bombs cover over the top part of Swoon's wheat pasted character.
Poor placement all over the place, and poor placement all over Swoon's face.
Maybe this case was not on purpose since the Swoon piece did blend in quite well with the background. But stuff like this happens all too often. Some graffiti artists go over street artists on purpose and some street artists go over graffiti for background. Both are sophomore moves, and the big names don't usually go over anyone.

Built on the Back of Coyotes
LA was built on the back of coyote territory, and this art piece in downtown portrays a stack of buildings on a howling dog's back.
Even though most people might not realize it, there are more coyote's in North America now than hundreds of years ago. We fight them, but they are still thriving. There are still coyote's all over Los Angeles, even in downtown.
Next to a cryptic looking face from Vyal One.
Can't keep a good dog down.~
Stay up!

No Bones About It
LA is lucky in that the City of Angels does have many more pieces from Roa to enjoy. Even if, sometimes, it is just the scrap bones and remains.
To cap off a trio of pieces from Roa. The bones may not be as cool as the Florida Manatee, but still dig it. Perhaps Roa is making commentary on the state of natural animal life in Los Angeles with this piece.

The Other Half . . . Found!
A short time ago, M&F posted a sticker from CMYK on Melrose saying 'Meet Me at the Arts District to See My Other Half'.
Well, M&F follower Chris tracked down that other half and discovered a beautiful 4 part custom sticker design downtown on 3rd Street.
Dig it. Thanks to Chris for hitting the streets to find the other half!

20 Minutes Away, and a World From Hollywood
20 minutes from Hollywood are the mean streets of downtown LA.
It almost feels like a different world, like with this garbage laden area that looks as though it has been building up for weeks.
And some tags battling on the building behind it looking as though they have been riding a lot longer than than a few weeks.

Graffiti Changes the Way People See the World
Graffiti changes the way people see the world.
This building front in downtown Los Angeles organically changes from a window into a graffiti roll call art piece where each individual window pane has become a unique area for the artists. Things like this make a stale city a fluid, ever changing environment.
Dig it. Of course, some people don't appreciate the art and the only thing they see from something like this is the misappropriation of property, which also changes the way people see the world.

Roa in Downtown Los Angeles
A chipmunk looking animal from Roa is presiding over downtown Los Angles.
Roa paints the native species on the walls of the cities he visits, so the relatives of this furry fellow has been living in the area a long time.
