Waiting For the Bus In The Morning
An awareness oriented bus stop takeover.
A fresh piece of street art from Ramiro Gomez Jr. featuring a woman standing as if waiting for a bus.
Usually, we like form cut pieces, but on this piece we dig the white around her. It creates an empty space which seems to make the work more poignant.
And this piece, like all of Ramiro's pieces, aim to call attention to the relatively invisible workers who work so hard to make society function. Many of these workers do not have their own cars, and so their commute takes much longer, at least 2 to 3 times as much time to get where they are going through public transportation. And workers who take the bus do not get paid travel time.
