When these pasters started showing up, a lot of people thought they might be part of JR's 'Inside Out' project. Although these do look a lot like the posters that participants receive after sending in a photo.
It seems that these are not part of the Inside Out project, as that project does not produce stickers, and here is a sticker of the face piece on Melrose.
