Peace Through Skate - On Melrose and Fairfax

Teacher places his iconic new 'Peace Through Skate' piece in a prime position right at the corner of Melrose and Fairfax.

This piece means a lot on a personal level as the person featured on the skateboard is our very own Greg from MELROSEandFAIRFAX. Greg says he wishes he could pull moves like this-- and the only move he knows is pushing off on his longboard. But he is flattered to be featured on this piece.

We dig it~

Thanks Teacher!

  3. i use to skateboard when i was younger - some street, mostly halfpipe. it was one of the things that gave me peace from all the lies adults were telling me. when i or others were busting moves it was real and true - no stories or photoshop - and sometimes it hurt like a mutherfucker when you busted ass. kinda like the truth hurts sometimes - but i think its better to be hurt by the truth than confused by lies... anyway, there are a lot of 'no skateboarding' signs in this town and a lot of people who don't realize how skateboarding can be a great thing. hopefully this image will help change things - thanks again to Bankrupt Slut for the collab on this design.......... what am i teaching?.....to me, all street artists are teachers - some good some bad - sometimes i'm good, sometimes not so much...... i decided to take the name teacher cuz i figured it would be an easy name for the haters to make fun of - if you can't make fun of the name teacher then you suck as a hater =). not saying you're a hater, just saying..... btw, thanks to F.H. and the other nice fellow for your kind words. peace to those who want or need it.
