Alec Monopoly Sells Painting to Adrien Brody for $20,000
Apparently, there were a lot of celebrities at Art Basel Miami, but not a lot of art buying.
The Miami Herald is reporting that one of the few pieces that was purchased by a celebrity was Adrien Brody buying a piece from Alec Monopoly for upwards of $20,000.
Adrien Brody actually has a background in street art, and a couple of years ago pasters featuring his image and the word 'Brody' were plastered all over the city.
Cool to see celebrities supporting street art and impressive to see the kinds of prices that Alec Monopoly is commanding.

Hope there was 20k in 1 doller bills taped to the back of it lol
ReplyDeleteDo you seriously not know how to spell dollar? Should be easy to make it as a "street artist" with so many dopes in the field.
ReplyDeleteunless monopoly dies tomorrow in the arms of the president running from a terrorist brody just lost $19,000.
ReplyDeleteNice way to support a street artist he appreciates, most of whom get no money for their efforts. Whether or not the piece is a great investment may not be that big a concern for a moneybags like Adrien Brody.
ReplyDeletecongrats alec this is great to hear.
ReplyDeleteAlec Monopoly is one of my favourite street artists along with T.WAT and i have invested in both of them & i bloody love looking at them every day best investment i ever made !
