2nd Floor 'Art Show 2011' A Graffiti Free-For-All
The 2nd floor of MBW's 'Art Show 2011' was a graffiti free-for-all.
Literally every piece Brainwash had on the 2nd floor was tagged on and graffitied up. The painting was so constant that the collected paint fumes were thick in the air and made it hard to breathe. In some areas, the spray paint just hung in the air like haze--and we were a bit concerned shooting these shots that it might actually damage the camera lens. Ah well, here's the shots for the sake of art.

Theres a guy stealing one of desire obtain cherishes pieces in the first pic. I saw that asshole take that shit
ReplyDeleteIt wasn't a free for all until some wack ass toy crew hit it up. I was up there when it all happened. Mbw came up stairs and bombed over their shir ass tags then told everyone to kill it. By far the craziest shit of the night
ReplyDeleteBEMO
hahaha NO WAY! what a fool
ReplyDeleteLack of fucken security!! he should have had guards in every art piece.....Very disrespectful!!
ReplyDeleteIt was not supposed to be a free for all. The security was focused on keeping people out and they should have been focused on the people on the inside. People were stealing left and right in the first floor. Taking the colored spray paint cans from one of the installations. The Security was supposed to search everyone entering but did not. No markers or cans were supposed to enter the building. The workers and Brainwash were so exhausted from the last three days of set up they were in dream like state of mind. Most chaotic opening I have ever seen or heard about. No prints ready for the 300 1st people, show not ready, doors open an hour later, people waiting for hours when they did not need to because they never handed out the second ticket get a F grade for my view of the show. There was not that much new art in the show unless it was hidden on the third floor with the VIPs. I give props to Brainwash for saying that he was going to give two prints instead of one to those that waited hours. for the print, but there were a lot of skeptical fans in the crowd there that night. One hostile idiot threw a open full bottle of water at Brainwash and the crowd!!!
ReplyDeleteWow, these toys just ruined the show for hundreds of people that haven't seen it yet. Now every piece looks like shit wit their wack-ass tags. Little kid shit.
ReplyDeletei have a feeling this was rushed because of the pressure from the community and the guy probably wanted more time
ReplyDeleteshouldnt have allowed the public in til xmas-they cant be trusted-shouldve been VIP only that night. Lesson learned I guess.
ReplyDeleteartshow slogans to sum up the night...
