The Generation After 'Exit Through the Photoshop'

Two of LA's brightest and most engaging street artists, Snyder and Random Act, recently teamed up for an awesome community project, hosting 'Love Letters'.  Members of the community were invited to come and share in the art, and write their name on the wall.

Snyder had a great time and said that he really found a since of camaraderie working with Random Act, both in terms of approach and the visual goals of street art.  Inspired by the session, Snyder wrote on Carlsbad Crawl that maybe this new generation of street artists is the next thing after the 'Exit Through the Photoshop' generation.  Artists like him and Random Act, or Andrea LaHue as she openly shares her name,  are 'ripping the bandana' off the traditional street art approach.  Instead of subversive public interruptions, artists like Snyder and Random Act seek to engage the community, and improve the surroundings.

As M&F has written about The 3 Generations of Street Art, we would love to see this community oriented, flower based aesthetic and approach take root as the next big thing on the streets.

Stay up!~
