. . . and then Banksy's Sphinx is gone

Welp, Banksy's Sphinx didn't last long.  Hours after Banksy's sculpture was announced, the piece got loaded into the back of a giant moving truck, and taken away.

Guess this one went by playground rules.  Whoever could take it, did. Eh, the dudes who got it don't look like very nice people from some of the pics.

It would have lasted longer if it had been plexiglassed or tagged~

BanksyNY - Everything but the Kitchen Spinx

Banksy's newest piece is a sculpture entitled 'Everything but the Kitchen Spinx'.

Banksy says that this is a: "1/36 scale replica of the great Sphinx of Giza made from smashed cinderblocks." Banksy adds, "You're advised not to drink the replica Arab spring water."

Note: the picture above is crooked.  Since it is the one released from Banksy's website, apparently the crooked picture was purposeful.

Ballsy new piece from Banksy. "I guess you could call it a Christmas present" the artist says.

Good Not Great

Of course the title refers to the stickers to the side, not the work of Ron English.

People are talking about the meaning of Banksy's Crayon Soldier piece, and there are many different versions.

We are not sure exactly, and believe it is open to interpretation, but this shot should help show the difference between a child holding a gun, and the commentary that is taking place within in Banksy's piece.
