Berg Propaganda - Salt Lake City Street Art Comes to Los Angeles

Life is funny, full of twists and turns.

MELROSEandFAIRFAX arrived back in Los Angeles yesterday after taking a vacation in Salt Lake City. When we hit the streets today to take some pics, we thought we were still back in Utah. Literally, the first piece of art we saw on Melrose is from Salt Lake street artist Berg.

Berg is almost single-handily holding it down for wheat pastes in Salt Lake. His art was at all the hot art spots, as well as up on prime spots on the street.

It was not surprising to see wheat pastes in Salt Lake, but it was surprising to see an artist at this level. Berg's work is cutting edge, and the top notch stencils would stand out in the biggest art cities- just as it jumped out in LA.

MELROSEandFAIRFAX was curious to find out more about Berg Propaganda, and we located a great interview with the artist where he discusses his incredibly entitled beginning to street art (meeting KAWS himself!) and discusses "the notion that art can be weaponized in an attempt to alter public opinion". You can peep the interview
