Free Humanity X Sand One

Los Angeles street artist Free Humanity and LA graffiti artist Sand One teamed up to produce this new street paster. The piece features Sand One's signature female character with big beautiful eyes and long lashes, framed inside of Free Humanity's box poster with Free's dripping pixel aesthetic composing the background. The bottom of the paster says 'Free Humanity' with a hand tag from Sand One.

The giant paster is hand painted, and the smaller one on the side of the same box appears to be a color copy of the piece.

Street art and graffiti sharing the streets. Dig it~

  5. Ok, let me break it down... Everyone knows FH is a biter. His "Veil Girl" piece was a pathetic bite off Obey's "Commanda" piece. And now you add SandOne to the mix, really? SandOne took her entire style from Fafi and Miss Van. I guess these 2 belong together. lol

  10. I use to think Sand was cool but she got played out. She is a prime example of Graffiti going commercial on top of that she's not easy on the eyes...

  11. "on top of that she's not easy on the eyes..."

Wait, what? Are you actually talking about what she looks like? Since when does that have anything to do with her art? Do you talk about what these guys look like? If they are easy on the eyes? NO! You don't!

    WOW.

This just goes to show what an ass you are, and is a classic example of how women are treated in society. By the way we look, not by what we accomplish.

Post as yourself and have some balls.

  13. Relax Johanna, youre a prime example of why women dont belong in street art. Its a mans game. No time for getting all sensitive.

  14. You seem to like the term PRIME EXAMPLE, so I'll use it as well so you can perhaps understand what I am saying.

You are a prime example of how men are threatened by a woman's talent and ambition. Posting as Anonymous, you could be either a woman or a man. Even in your rather lame and sexist put down. Who really knows? But the larger issue is that you are too myopic to even be able to read, or comprehend the words you write. Your comment had nothing to do with Street Art, so don't hide under the veil of being a Street Artist, you're a person first, and what you said was sexist, and sad.

In your perfect world, Anonymous, all women would probably be burka'd too.

  16. There is no doubt that women can hold their own in the world of street art -- and anything else for that matter.

It continually amazes me that there are still bigots and neanderthals who show their stupidity talking down to women.

You go Johanna! And a big round of applause from a male to all the female street artists getting up.

  19. Ha ha ha I got three emails about this thread. Is it cause I'm a women?
Maybe its cause you all know I wanna borrow one of sands dresses for my show?
I like both these artists very much but yeah, and no one talks about FH looks or other male SA's looks cause you cant see them.
Sand really does put herself out there as a sex symbol and artist.

Ive seen her videos, they are great, BUT when you make videos like that you INVITE comments to your appearance and I am sure she can take it. Free does not make those videos. We are all allowed to play as we like. Freedom.
Ive know Free well and he is one HOT tamale(blush) So there.
Much respect to them both for even trying.
There are those who do, and there are those who comment.

    Bunny kisses, lydiaemily
