Diver Down

A hazmat dude gets decked out in full gear like a deep sea diver.

Pasted up on MBW's old Art Show building on La Brea.

Dig the interaction and the way it looks like the tongue is licking it.

  1. The level of illustration quality in this piece is astounding. So awesome! Who did it?

  2. did that person say "astounding" ^, (take a black and white photograph of a person wearing a hazmat suit, then put it in photoshop, boost the contrast, and select the "cut-out filter", done

  3. Directed to "Anonymous": Actually it's a hand illustration by Deadcell84 www.eightyfourbrand.com. If you follow his IG account or facebook page, you'd see it's all done from paper, pencil, ink, then blown up for the printing process.

  4. ok, and the process to obtain the stencil is also from the photoshop process. That being where to cut is derived from the photoshop cut-out filter. -"aNONYMOUS"

  6. I like how one would post some unknowledgeable diatribe about art techniques and remain Anonymous. Not everyone you come across is untalented as you are, dig? Deadcell84 is badass and will outdraw you anyday.

  7. Okay "Anonymous" let's clear this up. I do not use any filters or digital help to create my images. Filters deteriorate detail and I'm all about detail. I draw straight from a photo and the "filter" is my brain. Once you've been drawing for over 20 years non stop then you would know it's not impossible to use a pen and pencil plus it's more fun to do it yourself and more fulfilling then applying a filter that the next person could easily do.

Your apology has been accepted in advance.
