Teacher gets up at a camping sign post in Northern California.
Teach stenciled up his signature logo, a JFK stencil, and another saying 'All You Need is the Right Kind of Love'.
Then, someone came along and modified the original, adding a 'g' in front of love. Now it reads 'All You Need is the Right Kind of Gloves', and guess there's some truth to that, as well~
Stay up, with gloves and love!
you realize people go camping to get AWAY from things like graffiti...
ReplyDeleteI go camping to get away from business and education.
ReplyDeletenot my fault. our dog Grace(photo bombing the 1st pic) made me do it. its actually not a camping sign post, its a community billboard along one of their main streets(yes dirt road). the TEACH stencil is over 2 years old, the quote is about a year old, and the Kennedy with TEACH PEACE is new..
ReplyDeletei go camping to remind myself that peace is a state of harmony characterized by the lack of violence, conflict behaviors, and the freedom from fear of violence. commonly understood as the absence of hostility, peace also suggests the existence of healthy or newly healed interpersonal or international relationships, prosperity in matters of social or economic welfare, the establishment of equality, and a working political order that serves the true interests of all.

camping is simply to be with nature (not urban blight), no need to put some deep spin on it, nobody goes camping to "escape violence", that notion is absurd.
ReplyDeleteYou're better off sticking to the "my dog made me do it" alibi, it almost makes more sense.
Give me a break. I go camping to get fucked and act retarded.
ReplyDeleteHope you meet a non violent bear to discuss peace with.
i'm flattered you thought i was being deep. i actually just cut and pasted the second paragraph after where it says "i go camping to remind myself that" from the definition of peace in the wikipedia online dictionary. sorry to deceive you, i was being cynical - that is because of my father's italian genetics, we can't help it sometimes.
ReplyDeletethe notion to think everyone goes camping for the same reason is absurd.

Oh my god all this peace talk makes me so frustrated. Spray painting peace all over doesn't do anything. It doesn't. Nothing. It doesn't. I am a fan of teacher and I know the old argument of "it's supposed to be simplistic and seen from a moving vehicle" but geeZ it just doesn't do anything. It doesn't promote peace. It doesn't create awareness. It doesn't combat non peaceful actions or violence.

Deleteha haaa! thank you, this is amusing..... ok, first of all, you're contradicting yourself saying "spray painting peace all over doesn't do anything" because it caused this dialog (it's TEACH PEACE btw, not just spray painting peace)... second, thank you because they have this blog rigged now so that if you leave a comment, they can figure out where it came from. so unless you left this comment from a public computer, i'll know who you are soon. if you'd like to continue this conversation you're always welcome to hit me up at teacher.streetartist@gmail.com. cuz i'm sure most people are sick of this. and now back to your regularly scheduled hating. =)

I don't think anyone is hating teacher. Expressing an opinion and calling it frustration is not hate. People are entitled to opinions. And just because someone feels that the method of how you go about spreading your message is not effective or impactful it doesn't imply hate.
ReplyDeletestay up everybody.
