Toy Break

We found this sticker just around the corner from Munky King, riding with Slob.
Toy Break is a weekly internet show that talks about toys.
The people who do it are nice, we met them last year at DesignerCon.
You can find out more about Toy Break and watch episodes at their website

Spray Can Lamp @ Munky King
Munky King is a great place to find novel 'street' based items.
This custom Krylon lamp is one of the cooler things we have come across recently.
Apparently, you can have a lamp customized with any spray can of your choice.
Swing by Munky King and check it out.

The Loyal Subjects
The Loyal Subjects (TLS) have a strong wheatpaste and sticker game that they bring to LA's streets.
TLS produces designer vinyl collectible art toys, decorative household items and apparel.
Those who appreciate street art and love LA might be interested to hear about the new toy from TLS, Pico & Wilshire. Inspired by The La Brea Tar Pits, Pico & Wilshire features a sabertooth tiger clinging to the back of of wooly mammoth. It was designed by Joe Ledbetter in his signature bold style and limited to 415 pieces worldwide. You can secure one for preorder now from the TLS website (Pico&Wilshire link)
Or if you're down for a party, TLS is also hosting a release bash for Magnus (the wheatpaste eagle) from 3 to 5 on Saturday August 14th at Munky King.

Restitution Press--How To Run LA @ Munky King
Restitution Press launched a bold art show and zine #17 titled 'How To Run LA' this past weekend at Munky King.
Due to being out of town, MelroseandFairfax was unable to attend, but it looks like a smash event. You can peep pics of the opening and view artwork for sale at Munky King
here http://www.munkyking.com/gallery_events.php?id=104
--Side Note: Munky King is a great store for all kinds of art and the top designer vinyl toy store in LA.
They support local street art by hosting shows and stocking stickers from some of LA's top artists including Zoso, Shark Toof, 455er, and, of course, Restitution Press.
Show some support and stop by Munky King next time you're on Melrose.
