Trustocorp 'New Americana' @ Gallery 1988
This is a mini wagon with full hydrolic lift, and incredible Klipsch speakers dj-ing songs through the night.
This was an outdoor carnival set up. It cost $20 to play, and you were guaranteed a print.
(and the hot sexy girl was doing interviews all night--she was so sultry she almost made it worthwhile to get in trouble with the girlfriend!!)
MELROSEandFAIRFAX had a great time at the opening of Trustocorp's 'New Americana' show.
New Americana is presented by one of our favorite local galleries, Gallery 1988. This show went beyond the typical stale vibe of an opening. With a fully functional hydrolic wagon of sorts bumping away in the main room, and carnival display out back, it encouraged audience participation, not just observation.
We heard there were signs posted in the local area, but after canvassing the streets thoroughly, we haven't spotted a single one.
Dig the biting wit of the signs at the show.
