Trustocorp Takes On Banksy -- ***UPDATE***
New York based street art collective Trustocorp has just put out a Banksy sign. It says 'Laugh now but one day I'll be so rich that I can do graffiti wherever I want'.
Trustocorp is known for their signs, and this is a good one.
***UPDATE-Its a hot time for street artists in New York, and hard to get up without getting noticed. The picture snapped below of the person hanging signs is Trustocorp in action, but it is not Banksy. Careful NY street artists--everyone and their mom has a camera!***

On a somewhat related note, there was an online joke recently calling milk 'cow juice'. Sure makes you think about it differently that way, right?!

Trustocorp Presents the Graffiti Briefcase
A few weeks ago, M&F put up a post noticing the unusual spray pattern putting up recent Trustocorp tags all over Melrose. We noticed that it seemed like they were experimenting with new ways of getting up, and that's exactly what's happening. Trustocrop hit M&F up and sent over pictures displaying their street ready graffiti briefcase.
Sure, there have been many art pieces with spray cans inside a briefcase that have been made as decorative pieces for art shows. But other than Teacher's massive 9-er which is aimed for size not stealth, this is the only other one we have seen that has actually been used on the streets.
Discreet is the name of the game with the Trustocorp graffiti briefcase, and Trusto says that this is perfect for catching daytime tags.
We believe that this graffiti briefcase is not part of their upcoming art show 'The Future is Blight' opening April 13th at Lebasse Projects in Culver City. It is not part of the show, because Trustocorp already has a bunch of cool stuff planned for the show like limited edition prints and poverty survival kits, which are to be released the night of the opening show only. Dig it. Stuff like this is what makes art shows fun, and Trustocorp always brings the extra interactive elements to make an art show a real experience.

Trustocorp Experimenting
Trusto seems to be experimenting with some additives working with spray paint to influence the drips from a spray tag.
Doesn't seem like they are using two cans, so still trying to figure out how the dark spray comes at the beginning and end of the tag. Usually a spray can will spit some knarly stuff and then even out.
These can be found all over the Melrose area.

Losing Your Head Over Debt
New York based street art collective TrustoCorp catches a stencil in Los Angeles. Featuring a credit card chopping off the top of a woman's head. Its like a lot of American's feel, that they are losing their head over debt.
Located in Los Feliz with a 3 piece stencil of a doubled up man (it makes sense when you see it up close), and some great aging from peeling posters on the left. Some of these date back to Christmas, but from what year?

Trustocorp 'New Americana' @ Gallery 1988
This is a mini wagon with full hydrolic lift, and incredible Klipsch speakers dj-ing songs through the night.
This was an outdoor carnival set up. It cost $20 to play, and you were guaranteed a print.
(and the hot sexy girl was doing interviews all night--she was so sultry she almost made it worthwhile to get in trouble with the girlfriend!!)
MELROSEandFAIRFAX had a great time at the opening of Trustocorp's 'New Americana' show.
New Americana is presented by one of our favorite local galleries, Gallery 1988. This show went beyond the typical stale vibe of an opening. With a fully functional hydrolic wagon of sorts bumping away in the main room, and carnival display out back, it encouraged audience participation, not just observation.
We heard there were signs posted in the local area, but after canvassing the streets thoroughly, we haven't spotted a single one.
Dig the biting wit of the signs at the show.
