MBW is back in Los Angeles and going BIG gearing up for his next big art show.

The next Mr. Brainwash art show will launch later this year in August or September. He has chosen the old abandoned building on Romaine and La Brea, right across the street from Target.

MBW gave us a personal tour of the building, said he picked this location because it is, as he called it, 'the last elephant'. Its not the title of the show. He meant that it was one of the last remaining buildings in Hollywood with real character, which adds to real street flavor. He pointed out how the building is perfectly suited to display street art, both inside and out, and he's right. Can't wait to see the place loaded with art!

This was the first time we have met Mr. Brainwash in person, and it was a very cool experience. He is very nice, and his energy is really positive. This guy must be incredibly busy, but he happily stepped away from his work to give M&F and our friend Mike a private tour of the the entire complex, and even took the time to answer questions and pose for pictures. He was incredibly gracious.

We have always enjoyed MBW's art, and feel that we now have a better understanding about what it is about. Even though his pieces do borrow heavily from the original content that they are based upon, after the changes and effects, the things he does to add color, or add context, or add splatter, the end result is the MBW view of the world, and it is a bright, colorful place. His art is the MBW interpretation of the world, and through that lens, truly, Life Is Beautiful~

Enjoy the action shots of Mr. Brainwash working below, and stay tuned to M&F for many more exclusives capturing MBW and his new gallery space~

  1. Love it. I always wondered if that building would ever be used. it's been vacant and covered in tags ever since I moved to LA
