The Faceless

Another poignant piece of street art from Ramiro Gomez Jr.

This one features a worker with leaf blower outside of a house under construction on LA's West Side. (Interesting to note that as we typed we almost wrote 'this one features a leaf blower'--its an occupation but its also a thing, and when we pronounce it that way we also think of it that way. Its what he does, not who he is. So we tried to correct it to 'a worker with a leaf blower'.)

And, interesting how Ramiro does not paint the detail on the faces. Its as if he wants to call attention to the jobs themselves, causing the identity of the person that folks should relate with is the unsung workers from each persons life, not the art piece itself.
