Lister Collabs with Snyder
An unofficial, on the street collaboration between Lister and Snyder.
Snyder's 'Rocket Boy' had been riding on Melrose for a few months.
And when Lister came to town to paint the Planet of the Apes themed mural on Melrose, he also did some 'adventure painting' and hit up an on-the-street collab with Snyder's Rocket Boy.
The end result is one of Lister's signature faces hovering around the lower torso of the Rocket Boy, with the top half launching out of the head.
Really dig how this piece turned out. Sure, its a spot jock, but isn't something a compliment when it comes from one of the biggest names in the world. Lister has also had a repeated theme of super-heros in his work, and this seems to play into that. And it really seems like Lister tried to respect and work with the Snyder piece. Dig the Snyder piece before, but think this is pretty amazing.

I wouldn't call that a collab, I'd call it crap...Messing up a sick piece
ReplyDeletethat's not a collab! you know what cap means. LOL
ReplyDeleteyou bring drama into the smallest caps. Now you shy away from this one! Get off listers nut sak and tell it how it is! Capped!
ReplyDeletelooks like lister sucks and can't handle how awesome Snyders piece is. What the hell is it anyways? Stupid 8th grade bullshit that belongs in a sewer drain--- not covering up actual art.
ReplyDeleteAgreed, walked past it and literally it did not even look like art. I honestly thought someone just tried to paint over the bottom of it. What the hell is this?
ReplyDeleteSnyder does have a mural with this piece like 300ft away, so it's really not a big deal. Street art is becoming WAY too crybaby.
