Snyder Builds Community through Street Art

Snyder has been doing amazing things for the community in his hometown of Carlsbad for years, and it is awesome to see how Snyder is bringing that dynamic to Melrose.

Yesterday, Snyder painted a mural along with Septerhed on Melrose, and while Snyder painted the mural, he also hosted his 'Day of Shenanigans'.   Crowds of people came by to talk with the artists while they worked.  The highlight for most was when Snyder invited people to pic up a can of paint and tag the wall themselves.

Great piece from Snyder that looks good, and engages the wall in a way that makes it active with Doodle pulling up the curtain to reveal the graffiti underneath.  And Snyder did a remarkable job engaging the community with his new mural.

Dig it.  Keep building community and Stay up!

  7. Vandalogs rip on Snyder makes me never want to visit their website or support them in any way ever again. I don't even care about most of these politics but for them to just up and attack anything about a good street artist, or any street artist, who minds his own business is so lame that I will now intentionally boycott anything to do with vandalog. We should support each other or shut the fuck up, especially when it comes to someone like Snyder, who as far as I'm concerned is just making some art and is a nice guy. Why the fuck would they do that?
