Remember when gas only cost $1-something per gallon?
The idea of dollar-something gallons was so entrenched that the 1 was even placed permanently on gas station signs like this one.
Now, dollar gallons of gas are just a dream. Some would say that even as expensive as gas is, it still costs too much. We aren't campaigning for higher prices for gas, but it is unusual that it costs more for bottles of water than gasoline.
